Using DhagaPages

Privacy in Pages

How Pages protects the people you write about: mentions that store no personal details, forgetting a contact, click-to-load embeds, AI only on request, and full deletion and export.

The pages you write are often about other people, so Pages is built to hold as little about them as it can and to forget completely when you ask. Mentions store no names, content from other sites loads only when you click, AI runs only when you ask, and deleting a page or a contact removes everything that came from it.

Mentions store no personal details

When you mention a contact, company, event or group, the page stores a reference to the record, not their name, email or phone number. The name is looked up each time the page is shown or exported. Renaming a contact therefore updates every page at once, and no page holds a copy of their details.

Forgetting a contact

When you forget a contact in Dhaga:

  • Their own page (the Page tab on their profile) is deleted, with its history, files and comments.
  • Links to them are removed from Pages' link index, so they leave your backlinks and graph.
  • Facts Dhaga learned about them from your pages are deleted.
  • Mentions of them in your other pages, and in every older version of those pages, show Removed person.
  • Your own writing stays. Pages doesn't delete the sentences you wrote around a mention; the forget dialog tells you so before you confirm. It also says that the contact's own page, if there is one, is deleted with its history, files and comments.

Nothing from another site loads until you click

Opening a page never contacts a third party on your behalf:

  • Embeds (YouTube, Figma, Google Docs and the rest) show a card until you press Load, for you and for anyone viewing a page you published.
  • Images and bookmark cards from a web address are copied into your page when you add them, so viewing the page later loads them from Dhaga, not from the original site.
  • GIPHY searches go through Dhaga's server, and GIPHY GIFs load on click unless you turned on Always load GIPHY GIFs for me.

When you add a web address, Dhaga's server fetches it once, over a secure connection only. It refuses addresses inside private networks, follows at most three redirects, and gives up after 5 seconds or 2 MB.

AI runs only when you ask

No page is sent to an AI model unless you press an AI action, or you turned on Keep learning from this page or Keep updated for that specific page or property. Both are off by default. See AI in Pages.

What Dhaga's servers don't record

Page text, page titles, searches, meeting transcripts and AI results are not written to Dhaga's server logs. Meeting audio is never stored at all: it is transcribed and discarded.

Published pages

A published page shows people only as plain names or initials, with no links and nothing from your CRM, and it never shows your notes, hidden comments, comments, backlinks or graph. Search engines are told not to index it unless you switch that on. See Sharing and publishing.

Files

Images, GIFs, videos and PDFs open inside the page in a way that can't run code. Every other file, including SVG images, is downloaded rather than opened in the browser.

Deleting pages and your account

Deleting a page, or emptying it from the Trash, deletes its files, its history, its comments, who it was shared with, its public links, its search index entries, its notifications, and the facts and relationships learned from it. Pages in the Trash are deleted for good after 30 days.

Deleting your Dhaga account deletes every page, file and version you have.

Where your pages live

Your pages are stored on Dhaga's servers with the rest of your account, isolated from every other account. Pages doesn't keep a copy on your device and doesn't work offline. Pages are not end-to-end encrypted.

You can always take them with you

Export works on every plan: one page at a time, everything as an Obsidian vault, or your whole account from Settings. See Import and export.
