Using DhagaPages

Pages FAQ

Answers to common questions about Pages: plans, phones, working without a connection, editing together, files, embeds, AI, privacy and leaving.

These are the questions people ask most about Pages. If yours isn't here, the overview links to every part of the guide.

Is Pages included in my plan?

Yes. Every Pages feature is on every plan, including Free. Plans differ in storage, how long page history is kept, two controls on public links, and database automations. See Limits and plans.

Does Pages work without an internet connection?

No. Pages has no offline mode: your pages are stored on Dhaga's servers and you need a connection to open and save them. If a save fails while you type, Pages keeps your unsaved text in the browser tab and restores it if you reload the tab, but it can't save without a connection.

Can I use Pages on my phone?

Yes, in your phone's browser. Every Pages screen works on a phone-sized screen. The Dhaga mobile app is for capturing people and notes, and doesn't include Pages.

Can several people edit a page at the same time?

Not live. Pages has no multiplayer editing: there are no shared cursors and you don't see other people typing. Several people can open a page, and saves happen one at a time. If someone saved a page after you opened it, Pages tells you before anything is overwritten and keeps your text either way. Comments and suggestions work alongside editing without conflicts. See Comments, suggestions and history.

What is the difference between a note and a page?

A note belongs to one contact or company, and Dhaga reads it to learn facts about them automatically. A page is a document of any length that can mention any number of people, link to other pages and sit in a database. Pages don't feed fact extraction unless you choose Learn from this page. A person's profile shows both their notes and their own page.

Can I extend Pages with plugins or themes?

No. Pages has no plugin system and no custom CSS. Instead it builds in the features people install plugins for: query blocks (Dataview), template variables (Templater), board views (Kanban), task queries (Tasks), the Journal calendar (Calendar) and drawing blocks (Excalidraw). For the look of a page you can choose a font, small text, full width, right-to-left, and light or dark.

Why can't I upload a file bigger than 4 MB?

Files are stored with the rest of your account in Dhaga's database, and 4 MB is the most one upload can carry. For a longer video, upload it to YouTube, Vimeo or Loom and embed it. For a large GIF, paste its web address or pick it from GIPHY.

Can I add audio?

No. Pages has no audio block, recorder or audio upload, and Spotify and SoundCloud links become bookmark cards rather than players. Meeting notes transcribe speech and don't keep the audio.

Why do embeds wait for a click?

Loading an embed sends your IP address, and often a cookie, to the company that runs it. Pages shows a card first and loads the embed only when you press Load, so opening a page never tells a third party you are reading it. The same applies to everyone who opens a page you published.

Does Pages use AI on my pages by itself?

No. AI runs only when you press an AI action, or when you turn on Keep learning from this page or Keep updated for a specific page or property. Both are off by default. Every AI action uses AI credits.

Can I publish a page on my own domain?

No. A published page lives at a Dhaga address, and Pages has no custom domains, site navigation or analytics. You can set an expiry and, on Pro and above, a password. See Sharing and publishing.

Where are my pages stored?

On Dhaga's servers, with the rest of your account and isolated from every other account. Your files are stored the same way, not with a separate file host. Pages are not end-to-end encrypted. Don't keep passwords or other secrets in a page.

What happens to a page when I forget a contact it mentions?

Every mention of that contact shows Removed person, in the page and in its history. Your own writing around the mention stays. The contact's own page is deleted. See Privacy in Pages.

Can guests see my contacts?

No. A guest sees only the pages shared with them. They can't browse your contacts, companies or notes, and a page shared with them doesn't open anything else in your workspace.

Can I import from Evernote, Trello or Confluence?

Not directly. Pages imports Obsidian vaults, Notion exports, Markdown, HTML, spreadsheets, Word files and JSON Canvas. It has no importers for Evernote, OPML, PDF or EPUB files, and no connectors to other apps. Export from the other app to one of those formats first. See Import and export.

Can I get all my pages out?

Yes, on every plan. Export one page, a page with its sub-pages, or everything as an Obsidian vault with your files, databases and canvases. Your pages are also in the full account export in Settings.
