Limits and plans
Every Pages feature is on every plan. Plans differ in file storage, how far back page history goes, public link controls and database automations.
Every feature of Pages is on every plan, including Free: databases, the graph, templates, guests, sharing, import and export. Plans differ in how much you can store, how long page history is kept, two controls on public links, and database automations. AI features use AI credits on every plan, and export is never limited.
What changes with your plan
| Free | Pro | Power | Team | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Storage for page files | 50 MB | 1 GB | 5 GB | 5 GB |
| Page history kept for | 7 days | 90 days | As long as the page exists | As long as the page exists |
| Public links that never expire | No, every link expires | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Password on a public link | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Database automations and button webhooks (the owner's plan counts) | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Page notifications in Telegram | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Organization pages | No | No | No | Yes |
Pages notifications in Telegram are part of Power, like your daily summary and meeting nudges; on other plans they stay in your inbox and push notifications. WhatsApp delivery is not available yet. Organization pages need an organization, which comes with the Team plan. See Pricing for what each plan costs.
Whose plan counts for automations and webhooks. Buttons are on every plan, but a button's Send webhook action, and every database automation, needs the Power or Team plan. The plan that counts is the owner's, not the plan of the person who clicks or edits: the database owner's for a database, the page owner's for a button on a plain page. A Free member who clicks a webhook button in a Power owner's database sends the webhook; a Power member who clicks the same button in a Free owner's database does not. When the plan doesn't allow it, the webhook is skipped with a note and the button's other actions still run. See Databases.
Enterprise deployments, run for an organization on request, have no limit on storage or history. Contact us about one.
The same on every plan
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Size of one file (image, GIF, video, PDF or other file) | 4 MB |
| Time a page stays in the Trash before it is deleted for good | 30 days |
| How often history saves a version while you edit | At most once every 10 minutes, plus every restore, import, AI edit, accept-all and merge |
| How deep pages can nest | 32 levels |
| Rows a database view computes at once | 5,000 |
| Properties in one database | 200 |
| Templates in one database | 50 |
| Views in one database | 50 |
| Automations in one database (Power and Team) | 50, with up to 20 actions and 5 webhooks each |
| Spreadsheet import | 20 MB, 5,000 rows and 100 columns per file |
| Length of a page title | 500 characters |
| Length of a formula | 10,000 characters |
| Answer to a template question | 500 characters |
| Keys for one shortcut | 4 |
| Columns in a columns block | 2 to 5 |
| Window width for split view | 1024 px or wider |
Links that create or add to pages are capped too: titles at 200 characters, page content at 20,000 and text added to the Journal at 5,000. Pages tells you when it cuts something.
Fair-use limits
Some actions have a per-minute limit so one runaway script can't slow Dhaga down for everyone. You are unlikely to meet them by hand:
| Action | Limit |
|---|---|
| Uploading files | 20 a minute |
| Files brought in by an import | 90 a minute (an import waits and carries on by itself) |
| Exporting the whole vault, or a page as a zip | 5 every 5 minutes |
| Copying an image from a web address | 10 a minute |
| Link previews (bookmarks and embeds) | 30 a minute |
| GIPHY searches | 30 a minute |
| Password tries on one public link | 5 every 15 minutes from one network, and 50 an hour in all |
| Email addresses you invite to pages | 100 an hour |
If you hit one, wait a minute and try again. Autosave retries on its own and keeps your text while it waits.
When you reach your storage limit
New uploads stop with a message that says so; nothing you already stored is removed and every page stays readable and editable. To make room, delete files or pages you no longer need and empty them from the Trash, or move to a plan with more storage. Moving to a smaller plan never deletes files, but uploads stay blocked until you are back under the new limit.
When you move to a plan that keeps less history, versions older than the new limit are removed.
Privacy in Pages
How Pages protects the people you write about: mentions that store no personal details, forgetting a contact, click-to-load embeds, AI only on request, and full deletion and export.
